NFF high school football meeting Wednesday
The Gene Casey New Haven County Chapter of the National Football Foundation will hold the first meeting of the year on Wednesday at the Knights of St. Patrick, 1533 State St., New Haven beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Scheduled speakers include Chris Palmer head coach of the Hartford Colonials, who will bring several Colonials players with him, Bob Barton co-editor of the Connecticut High School Football Record Book and George “The Coach” Demaio of WELI.
In addition, the chapter will recognize Hall of Fame Classic head coach Tommy Dyer of Hillhouse, and the other game coaches, for New Haven County’s 16-13 victory over Fairfield County in July.
Tickets for the dinner cost $15.
