Saturday's best

A daily look at the best on the local sports scene ...


-- In high school boys basketball, No. 3 Career finally gets to play at Cross after being postponed Friday. The game is a 7 p.m. tip.

-- In high school hockey, No. 4 Xavier travels to play No. 5 Notre Dame-West Haven at 1 p.m. in a game that can be heard on WELI-960

No. 3 Hamden plays host to No. 6 West Haven at 2:30 p.m.

-- Yale's top-ranked men's hockey team plays host to St. Lawrence at 7 p.m., but that game is sold out. You can get information on how to watch the game online here

-- Quinnipiac plays a late-season exhibition against the U-18 national team. Game starts at 7 p.m.

-- The Yale's men's basketball team plays host to Brown in the second Ivy League game of the season for the Bulldogs. It's youth day and a 2 p.m. tip-off. Children ages 14-and-under will be admitted free, and there will be a post-game autograph session with the Yale players.


Both the UConn men and women play at home today.
The men host Tennessee at the XL Center at 2 p.m. That game is sold out, but will be on CBS.
The women host Pittsburgh at Gampel Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. with tickets still available. That game is on CPTV.
