Chip Malafronte is at today's Southern Connecticut at New Haven baseball game at 3:30. Two of the best Division II programs square off. cmalafronte@nhregister.com


Henry Chisholm is in Shelton for a key early-season SCC baseball game as No. 1 ranked Notre Dame-West Haven takes on undefeated Shelton, which has a win over No. 3 Foran. Game is 1 p.m. hchisholm@journalregister.com


Chris Hunn has a feature on the depth at wide receiver for the Yale football team. Yale is in spring practice. chunn@nhregister.com


Our sister paper, the Register Citizen of Torrington, is covering a key NVL softball game as Torrington, coming off two straight no-hitters, travels to play No. 1 Seymour.


We will also unveil our athletes of the week in Thursday's paper and online later tonight.


Finally, the Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inducts its 25th class tonight at 6 p.m. We will have a photo of the Hall of Fame class.
