Tuesday's Best (UPDATED with schedule change)

A daily look at the best of the local sports scene ...

In boys basketball No. 5 Career travels to play Lyman Hall at 7 p.m. The Trojans (14-3) gave the Panthers (15-1) a scare the last time the two met, but Career held on for a 57-55 win a little more than two weeks ago.

Also Xavier, the SCC Quinnipiac champion at 11-6, 6-, travels to play No. 3 Hillhouse (16-1, 8-0), the SCC Hammonasset champion at 7 p.m.

In girls basketball, Hamden Hall plays host to Hopkins at 5 p.m.

In high school hockey, Hamden travels to play Fairfield Prep at the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. APOLOGIZE. THIS GAME WAS IN OUR SCHEDULE BUT IS NOT LISTED UNDER CIAC. THIS GAME SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LISTED. AGAIN, OUR APOLOGIES.

In women's college hockey, Yale plays host to Brown at 7:30 p.m. If you've wanted to check out Ingalls Rink and have not had the chance because the men keep selling out, this is your chance to see one of the more unique college athletic facilities.
