A daily look at the best of the local sports scene ...


-- The UConn women's basketball team plays old rival Rutgers in the Big East tournament semifinal at the XL Center in Hartford at 6 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPNU.

-- The MAAC men's and women's basketball finals are at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard.

Marist, with Milford's Casey Dulin, takes on Loyola at 1 p.m. The game can also be seen on ESPNU.

The men's final is Iona vs. Saint Peters at 7 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN2
