Saturday's Best (corrected Yale basketball time)

A daily look at the best of the local sports scene ...

-- The  No. 3 ranked Yale men's hockey team does not control its own destiny for an ECAC title tonight when it plays Cornell at Ingalls Rink at 7 p.m., but a win and loss or tie by Union would wrap up the title in the final weekend.

The game is the 12th sellout of the season.

-- The UConn women's basketball team can clinch its 17th Big East regular season title with a win at Georgetown today. The game starts at 3 p.m. and can be seen on CPTV.

-- The Quinnipiac men's basketball team has already secured the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Conference tournament, but with 20 wins this season, the Bobcats are worth checking out in their regular-season finale at the TD Bank Sports Center at 4 p.m.

-- The Yale men's basketball team plays its season home finale against Harvard with a 6 p.m. tip. Yale is out of the Ivy League race but can play spoiler against a Harvard team that has earned Top 25 votes this season.

-- In high school wrestling, expect area teams Xavier and Hand to compete for a title, with other locals vying for individual titles. Championship matches are expected to start at 5:30 p.m. at the New Haven Athletic Center. Check out our spirit blog for some updates

-- There's a full day of boys basketball at East Haven High School with the Southern Connecticut Conference quarterfinals starting at noon.
