College football schedules

Here's a look at the area college football schedules for the fall:

Yale opens its season with Georgetown at the Bowl. It's the 96th season of the storied structure and plays host to six games this year. Albany, Fordham, Penn, Columbia and Princeton also make visits.

Southern Connecticut opens its season at Division II power Indiana-Pennsylvania Sept. 4 and open at home a week later against West Liberty State College. Who, you might ask. Well the defending West Virginia Conference champions are ranked No. 3 in the Division II preseason polls.

At New Haven, the Chargers travel to Seton Hill in Pennsylvania Sept. 4 (hey, it's better than Northern Colorado by bus) and open at home against Lincoln Sept. 11.
